Honest World Briefing

Editorial policy

Honest World Briefing aims to make global affairs understandable without overstating what an explanation can establish. We distinguish context from interpretation and correct material errors when they are brought to our attention.

Accuracy and clarity

We check names, definitions, dates, and descriptions against suitable sources before publication, and we take care not to present an interpretation as settled fact. Where a subject is contested or an explanation has limits, we say so. Readers can use the Contact page to flag a possible error; confirmed corrections are made clearly in the relevant material.

Editorial independence

Editorial decisions are made for the reader's understanding, not to satisfy a partner. A collaboration does not guarantee coverage, and contributors or partners do not control unrelated editorial content.

Partner material and labels

Any paid, sponsored, or partner-supported material is identified as such where it appears. Partner placements are kept distinct from independent editorial explanations so readers can tell what they are reading.

Illustrations

Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence. Illustrations support the presentation of a subject and are not evidence for factual claims.
